London Packaging Week 2026 is all set to be launched, and the main theme this time will revolve around one topic: ‘discovery’. This year’s conference will revolve around new features such as innovation, government regulations, and, most importantly, transforming consumer expectations. This wide variety of topics will help designers, retailers, and brands to adjust to the changing dynamics.

The event will take place at ExCel London on 16 and 17 September 2026 and is anticipated to draw attention and participation from leading retailers and brands. This event is a key meeting venue for big names in the industry, such as Jo Malone London, Marks & Spencer, Burberry, Fortnum & Mason, Elemis, John Lewis, Harrods, Starbucks, and No7, which depicts how much priority the packaging sector has become for a wide range of industrialists.

Josh Brooks, Divisional Director of the packaging portfolio at easyFairs, recently said:

“Packaging is not considered a technical function sitting in the background. It is now considered part of resilience, consumer relevance, and influencing growth. For making better decisions, discovery is the key factor, and the concept of discovery is the main agenda this event is built around.”

New Themes Introduced

A lot of new expanded themes have been in focus for London Packaging Week 2026 since the start of the year, including the inclusion of a design hub, powered by Pentawards, which is a platform for the global packaging community to hold talks and exchange ideas between designers & brands as well as establish networks.

Additionally, there will be an innovation gallery that will showcase exclusive developments from different exhibitors, highlighting novel materials and newly introduced technologies.

A Renowned Event

The conference will feature more than 90 speakers, including renowned names such as Alex Centre of CENTER, Mark Browne of PZ Cussons, PepsiCo, Suntory Food & Beverages, Müller Service GmbH, Esther Carter of PackUK, WRAP, OPR Land, L’Occitane & many more.

The programme will further discuss and explore five different categories across the FMCG, luxury and discovery stages, namely, next-gen solutions, the conscious consumer, the efficiency imperative, and circular futures, to further evaluate the roots that are redefining the packaging industry.

London Packaging Week is not just about content and discovery; it remains a constructive hub for the industry to meet and exchange ideas through cross-cultural discussions. An arrangement has been set up for ‘Inner Circle Bar’, which would be a dedicated networking space for two days; day one will be complemented by some networking drinks, with the first hour specially dedicated as ‘happy hour for first-timers’ for helping participants attending the conference for the very first time.

Women in Packaging Category

Another important event designed especially for the participants is the Women in Packaging morning programme that is sponsored by Packaging News. There is also an exclusive networking breakfast hosted specifically for all the finalists, industry leaders and winners from the Women in Packaging Excellence Awards.

The next hour will be dedicated to female leaders who will deliberate on topics such as innovation, sustainability, allyship, organisational change, and leadership across the packaging industry.
